Circular Economy: good for business?

Nele has had the privilege to build up her expertise on circular economy and circular business model innovation from early on in her career at Volvo Group. She started of selling value through promoting Opex instead of Capex, and by emphasizing low TCO instead of low investment price. After all, low TCO is the best way to sell a premium truck brand with a high upfront investment price. Only years later, she realized that TCO and Opex models go hand in hand with Business Model Circularity: selling Trucks-as-a-Service and Equipment-as-a-Service (also known as Product-as-a-Service) go hand in hand with the Circular Economy.
She decided to actively promote this business model innovation within Volvo Group. This 2020 article is one of the results of her efforts. The article even got cited by German newspaper Der Spiegel Magazin in 2021 in an article on "Zero Waste".
